Timber Staircase with Integrated Drawers
Delivered to a very personal brief; to a create a staircase from the a variety of timber collected over many years by the clients late husband. This staircase connects the lounge to a bedroom in a tiny home, where space is at a premium. Integrated drawers were used to make maximum use of the space, providing clever, accessible storage. Each tread had to be reinforced to withstand the weight of someone walking on them while ensuring the drawers could function correctly. The clients’ late husband had been collecting timber his whole life and had a garage full of mixed gauges and species. This required carefully selecting the timber and working around each available pieces’ size and colour to yield the best possible result.
